We discussed TEER (transcatheter edge-to-edge repair), one of the central topics in interventional cardiology, with live cases and current scientific data. The meeting took place on 27 August 2026 at the Istinye University Liv Hospital Topkapi Congress Center.
The day covered patient selection, imaging, current guideline recommendations, complex anatomy and open questions such as durability and re-intervention, across four sessions. Mitral (M-TEER / MitraClip) and tricuspid (T-TEER / TriClip) procedures were brought into the hall as live cases.
What the meeting covered
Hakan Uçar gave the opening remarks. The morning sessions focused on M-TEER guideline recommendations, patient selection and imaging, then on complex anatomy. The afternoon turned to T-TEER guidelines and imaging, and to durability and re-intervention. Each scientific block included a live case transmitted to the hall.
Afterwards, with Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kürşat Tigen, we reviewed the content, the place of live cases in training, and the experience gained across different case scenarios.
